Refund policy

Our plates are made to order — built to your registration, your style, your specification. This policy explains what happens if something goes wrong, and how we will put it right. By placing an order with Paramount Plates, you confirm that all details submitted are accurate and complete.

Returns & Replacements
Because every plate is made to order, we do not accept returns on the basis of change of mind. If your order arrives damaged or incorrect due to an error on our part, we will arrange a free replacement.
To be eligible for a replacement, you must:
- Notify us within 7 days of receiving your order
- Provide clear photographic evidence of the fault or error
- Return the original plates if requested by us for inspection
Important: As bespoke custom-made goods, our number plates are exempt from the standard 14-day right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. This exemption applies once production has commenced.
We are not liable for damage arising from improper installation, or from fitting plates to vehicle surfaces that are incompatible with standard plate fixing methods (such as highly curved bumpers).
If a replacement is also found to be faulty or cannot be delivered within a reasonable timeframe due to a fault on our part, a refund may be offered at our discretion.

Refunds
Refunds are only issued in the following circumstances:
- Both the original order and any replacement are confirmed faulty or delayed beyond a reasonable time due to our error
- The order is confirmed lost in transit and cannot be recovered or resent
- Your order has not been delivered within 30 days of the order date, or by a specific delivery date agreed at the time of purchase, in accordance with your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015
Approved refunds will be credited to the original payment method within 2–5 working days of approval. Processing times may vary by bank or payment provider.
Please note: where a delivery delay is caused by a failure to provide the required identity and entitlement documents in a timely manner, the 30-day period will be calculated from the date documents were verified, not the date of order placement.
Refunds will not be issued where: the customer submitted incorrect information during the order process (including but not limited to registration numbers, plate style, or character spacing); or where manufacturing has already commenced, unless the product is proven faulty. By placing an order, the customer accepts full responsibility for the accuracy of all submitted details.

Cancellations
Orders may be cancelled before production begins, or within 90 days of the order date — whichever occurs first. For clarity, production is typically initiated within 1 working day of order placement. Once production has commenced, cancellation is not available except where the product is faulty.
To request a cancellation, contact our customer service team and provide:
- Your order number
- The first line of your delivery address
Cancellation fees:
- A fee of £5.00 per individual plate applies to cancelled plate orders (e.g. a front and rear pair = £10.00)
- Accessory-only orders may be cancelled without charge
Paramount Plates reserves the right to waive cancellation fees at our absolute discretion.

Order Amendments
Any amendments to an order — including plate style, text spacing, badge selection, or registration details — must be requested immediately after placing the order. Amendments cannot be accepted once production has commenced. Where an amendment is accepted prior to production, additional charges may apply depending on the nature of the change.

Accessories
Non-bespoke accessories may be returned for a full refund within 14 days of delivery, provided the items are unused and returned in their original packaging. Return postage for accessories is the responsibility of the customer unless the item is proven to be faulty, in which case we will cover reasonable return postage costs.

Promotional & Sale Items
Items purchased as part of a promotion, sale, or discount offer are not eligible for further price adjustments, exchanges, or refunds unless the item is proven to be faulty or incorrectly fulfilled by us.

Return Postage
Where Paramount Plates requests the return of plates for inspection, we will confirm the return process in writing. Return postage will be covered by Paramount Plates only where the fault or error is confirmed to have originated on our part. In all other circumstances, return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.

Your Statutory Rights
Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 in respect of goods that are faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose.

Disputes & Alternative Resolution
We aim to resolve all complaints promptly and fairly. If you have a complaint, please contact us in the first instance at info@paramountplates.co.uk.
If we are unable to resolve your complaint directly, you may refer it to an approved Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) provider. Information on ADR schemes is available from the UK Government's dispute resolution directory. Online disputes may also be submitted via the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform.

Governing Law
This policy and any disputes arising from it are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes that cannot be resolved by agreement between the parties shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
