This website is owned and operated by Paramount Plates Ltd ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing our site or purchasing from us, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and all policies referenced within them. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, you must not use our site or services.

These Terms apply to all users of the site, including browsers, customers, and anyone submitting content. New features or tools added to the site are also governed by these Terms. We may update these Terms at any time by publishing a revised version here — continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law.

Use of This Site

By using this site, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, or that you have obtained parental or guardian consent if you are a minor.

You must not use our site or products for any unlawful or unauthorised purpose. You must not introduce malicious code, viruses, or anything designed to harm or interfere with the site or its users. Any breach of these Terms may result in immediate termination of your access.

General Conditions

We reserve the right to decline service to any person at any time, for any reason.

You agree not to reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, or exploit any part of our service without our express written permission.

RNPS obligation and document verification: As a Registered Number Plate Supplier (RNPS), we are legally required under the Road Vehicles (Display of Registration Marks) Regulations 2001 to verify your identity and entitlement to the vehicle registration before manufacturing your plates. By placing an order, you agree to provide the required proof of identity and proof of entitlement documents. Documents may be submitted via our online upload portal, by email to documents@paramountplates.co.uk, or by post to Paramount Plates, 42 Moorside, Spennymoor, County Durham, DL16 7EA. Your order will not enter production until verification is complete. We are not responsible for documents lost or delayed in postal transit — if posting, we recommend a tracked and signed-for service.

Road-legal compliance and BSAU 145e: All plates manufactured by Paramount Plates comply with British Standard BSAU 145e and the Road Vehicles (Display of Registration Marks) Regulations 2001. By law, we are only able to produce plates to the legal standard — we cannot manufacture plates with incorrect spacing, non-standard fonts, illegal colours, or any other feature that would render them non-road-legal. We reserve the right to reject any order that does not meet these requirements. Where an order appears non-compliant, we will contact you before making any changes or cancelling the order.

Orders may be cancelled before production begins or within 90 days of the order date, whichever comes first. A cancellation fee of £5.00 per individual plate applies. Please refer to our Returns & Refund Policy for full details.

Accuracy of Information

We take reasonable care to ensure the information on our site is accurate and up to date. However, we do not warrant that all content is complete, current, or error-free. You should not rely solely on information from this site for decisions — we recommend confirming important details independently.

Historical or archived content on the site is provided for reference only and may not reflect current products, prices, or practices.

Prices & Service Modifications

Prices may change at any time without prior notice. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of our service at any time. Where we make changes that affect your existing order, we will inform you as soon as reasonably practicable.

We are not liable for any change, suspension, or discontinuation of a service where no existing contract has been formed.

Products & Services

All products are available exclusively through our website and are subject to availability. Returns and exchanges are governed by our Returns & Refund Policy.

We make every effort to display accurate product images and descriptions. However, we cannot guarantee that your screen's colour rendering will exactly match the finished product.

We reserve the right to limit the sale of products to any person, region, or jurisdiction. All product descriptions and prices are subject to change without notice. We do not guarantee that products will meet your specific expectations.

Orders & Billing

We reserve the right to refuse, restrict, or cancel any order at our discretion. This may include orders from the same customer, household, or delivery address. Where we cancel or amend an order, we will notify you using the contact details provided at checkout.

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete billing and account information. It is your responsibility to keep this information up to date to ensure your orders and communications are processed correctly.

Third-Party Tools & Links

We may provide access to third-party tools or link to external websites as a convenience. We have no control over these and provide access "as is" without warranty or endorsement. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party site or tool. Use of third-party resources is at your own risk, and you should review their own terms and privacy policies before engaging with them.

User Submissions & Feedback

If you submit feedback, ideas, or other content to us — whether solicited or not — you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, edit, and publish that content in any medium. We are under no obligation to maintain confidentiality, offer compensation, or respond.

You confirm that any content you submit is accurate, does not infringe any third-party rights (including intellectual property or privacy rights), and does not contain unlawful, offensive, or harmful material. You are solely responsible for the legality and accuracy of anything you submit.

Important: Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under UK law, including under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Subject to the above, and to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Paramount Plates Ltd, its directors, employees, affiliates, agents, and suppliers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive loss or damage — including loss of profit, revenue, data, or anticipated savings — arising from your use of our service or products.

Where applicable law does not permit the full exclusion of liability, our liability shall be limited to the greatest extent the law permits.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Paramount Plates Ltd, its employees, directors, officers, contractors, affiliates, and service providers from any claim, demand, or expense — including reasonable legal fees — arising from your breach of these Terms or your violation of any third-party rights or applicable law.

Disputes & Alternative Resolution

If you have a complaint or dispute, please contact us in the first instance at info@paramountplates.co.uk and we will do our best to resolve it promptly and fairly.

If we are unable to resolve your complaint directly, you may refer it to an approved Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) provider. Information on approved ADR schemes is available from the UK Government's dispute resolution directory. Online disputes may also be submitted via the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that provision shall be severed and the remaining Terms shall continue in full force and effect.

Termination

These Terms remain in effect until terminated. You may terminate them at any time by ceasing to use our site. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms. Outstanding payment obligations survive termination.

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Returns & Refund Policy, and Shipping & Delivery Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Paramount Plates Ltd regarding your use of this site and our services. They supersede all prior agreements, representations, or understandings, whether written or oral.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from them shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
