Hover number plates raise each 3mm laser-cut black acrylic character on a narrower 3mm riser. The riser sits 1.8mm inside the character edge, so the face of every letter and number overhangs its base and appears to float above the plate, with a fine shadow line running beneath it.
The visible character is a full 3mm acrylic cut with crisp vertical edges. Beneath it, the narrower riser lifts the character clear of the reflective face, giving a total raised profile of 6mm. As the viewing angle changes the shadow beneath each character widens and narrows, which is what gives the finish its floating appearance.
Choose Hover if you want the sharp edges of a 4D acrylic plate with more visual lift than a flat-bonded character. A Standard plate keeps attention on the floating effect, while Short and Hex change the outer proportions as well. The lettering finish can be selected independently for the front and rear.
Compare Shadow if you prefer a solid, stepped black-on-black stack, or 4D 3mm Acrylic for the same character face bonded directly to the plate.
Start from a matching standard pair at £74.99. Standard shape is included; Short adds £5 per plate and Hex adds £10. A printed black border is £1 per plate. Flags or a green flash are £2 per selected plate on Standard and Short.
Choose a single front, single rear or pair in the plate builder. Keep “Same as front” selected for matching options, or set the lettering, shape, flag and border separately for each side. The same registration appears on both plates.

To legally produce your number plates we’re required to verify your identity and entitlement to the registration. You can upload both after you order (a phone photo is fine); we’ll show you how.
