Hex number plates with an angled outline

Hex number plates use angled ends to create a six-sided outline around your registration. Paramount Plates offers this shape across all nine active lettering finishes, so you can choose the outer profile independently from flat, gel or acrylic characters.

Shape and character finish are separate

The preview sample uses Printed lettering to make the shape easy to see. Your own plate can use that flat finish or one of our raised options. The finished width is tailored around the registration and angled edges; it is not one universal measurement. Enter your registration in the builder to see the proportions of your design.

Define the edge with a printed border

Leave the plate edge plain or add a black border that follows the angled outline. The border is printed flat and leaves the registration and plate markings clear. Any raised depth comes from your chosen lettering, rather than from the border itself.

Combine different front and rear shapes

Choose Hex for one side or both. In the Shape tab, turn off “Same as front” to select the rear independently. If a national flag or green flash is part of your design, choose Standard or Short for that plate. You can also choose different lettering and borders while keeping the same registration.

Check the full mounting outline

Measure the available mounting area and check the corners as well as the width. Angled ends can reveal old holes, clips or marks that a rectangular plate covered. A standard rectangular holder may not suit the Hex outline. Send us your registration and mounting measurements if fit needs checking before you order.
