Check the mounting points before drilling

Measure the existing fixing positions and check the vehicle’s mounting surface before making holes. The correct fixing method depends on the bumper, bracket or holder; the kit should not be treated as a guarantee that every vehicle uses the same mounting arrangement. Ask us for fitting advice if you are uncertain.

Protect the plate face during fitting

Our fitting guidance is to drill from the rear of the plate, taking care with the position and using gentle pressure. Check the hole locations before drilling, keep fixings away from the registration characters and avoid overtightening. Damage caused during self-drilling is outside manufacturing-defect cover; see the warranty terms.

Choosing screws or adhesive pads

Screws may suit an existing screw-mounted holder or a surface where adhesive fixing is unsuitable. Pads provide an alternative that does not require drilling the plate. Choose the method for the actual mounting surface, and prepare it properly before installation. Our product guidance recommends screw fixing for the factory plastic plinth on Mercedes-Benz C-Class models.
